Even Chanel loves leopard for fall

At this point, if you don’t like leopard print, I feel kind of bad for you. It seems as though every brand under the sun, from high-end to low-end and everything in between, has released some sort of leopard bag for fall. The trend is inescapable, which is great if you’re like me and you already had a pair of glittery silver and black leopard leggings left over from last year. Yeah, I said it.

If I had an extra four grand laying around, this Chanel Strass and Tweed Leopard Classic Flap would be the perfect compliment to my admittedly tacky-but-fun leggings. Or to a black dress of any sort. Or any outfit, really.

I don’t adore the actuality of this bag, but the idea is wonderful. The scale of the leopard print needs to be a bit smaller for the bag since it’s rendered in separate crystals and not a solid color, and the combination of the size and material makes the end result a bit awkward. It wouldn’t need to be much smaller – just a tad. But for the price, I’d want it to be absolutely perfect (not to mention made of leather instead of tweed). Buy through Chanel for $4000. For more purchasing information and assistance locating this bag, please contact Chanel at (800)550-0005.

I was just in a department store yesterday in Beverly Hills and was talking to one of the handbag salesclerks. We were taking about how designers have lost their minds with the pricing. And Chanel popped up in the discussion. The salesclerk commented that one of her customers who has bought Chanel for decades just refuses now to buy it now although she can. But, for her it’s the principal of the think and she refuses to dish out $4,000 for a handbag. She’s also tired of Chanel’s ridiculous and constant price increases.

Chanel can do no wrong in my book normally but I would rather have seen a traditionally leopard print on pony hair, boring maybe but still a classic for me. This ones too blingy for my tastes

This is a very cute bag but if I were to spend $4000, I’d rather buy the classic flap. I’m not a big fan of leopard but this year it’s crazy, it’s everywhere so I guess I’ll follow the trend but at a much lower price point.

Amanda, I want this bag!! I’ve never seen leopard done like this. Chanel has stolen my heart! All I have to do now is scrape up $4,000! ;-)

I’m a huge fan of all things Chanel, and this is no exception! It’s a very good iteration of classic leopard print with an edgy twist. But, would we expect anything less from Mr. Lagerfeld?
