Audrey Tautou (THE DAVINCI CODE, AMELIE) plays the legendary “Coco” Chanel in an enthralling exploration of her early life before she rose to worldwide fame as the most celebrated fashion designer of the 20th Century. We meet the young Gabrielle Chanel, illegitimate daughter of a traveling salesman who learns to sew in a Catholic orphanage before following her singing ambitions lead her to a cabaret club. It is here where Chanel earns the nickname Coco and also where she catches the eye of several high society gentlemen who would ignite her passion and become instrumental in the development of her remarkable career.     I would be excited to see this, but from this trailer it looks VERY similar if not identical to the Lifetime version that came out last year on TV. I thought that was good.

    The music featured in the latter half of the trailer was composed by the very talent and prolific composer Paul Reeves. The track is named Connectivity and is on the album ‘Life in Motion’ all of which are available on itunes now!

    i thought the movie was beautiful, and audrey tautou looked stunning. i did feel that the movie dragged on a little at parts though.

    Love Coco Chanel simply for her drive and courage. Not so keen on this overly dramatic rendition of her life but the soundtrack is exquisite.

    It’s amazing, i love it. I fell in love with ‘Boy’.
    Yes, it’s French with English subtitles- i think that has a significant part in the passion and charm of the film :)
