The author is quite clever and witty, but it really seems to be enough content to fill this book. It ‘really aimless and a little’ repetitive. I am really disappointed and probably will not finish. Rating: 2 / 5

This is a brilliant contemporary portrait of Coco Chanel. I get a very important message from this book. ‘Do not be afraid of yourself’. The women of the world should read this book. I went to see the latest films, hoping to be inspired, but the film did not deliver as this book. It’s really, really good. The best book I’ve read in a long time. Intelligent woman that Coco Chanel was. This book can really represent and communicate that his life lesson to you in a witty, fun and elegant. Rating: 5 / 5

Karen Karbo is a wonderful writer who is passionate about his subject. I thought this was a “how to” book, and although there are tidbits of life lessons in the book is more about the life of Coco Chanel and how / why he did what he did. In between is a nice story little hand ‘Ms. Karbo search for the latest Chanel Chanel Jacket. . . This was a fun, laugh out loud book with many insights into life using ironic Coco mantra to live as a council of good sounding board for what could work better. Highly recommended if you want a light read and wants to learn something at the same time. I think I can go and read the book by Ms. Karbo about Kate Hepburn now. Rating: 5 / 5

This book, at times turned into diatribes that have not been around since they were Chanel Karbo opinions on various aspects of the life of Chanel. So in this way, included gospel Karbo lot, too, not Chanel. And what nerve he had to complain of Chanel or anyone else “do nothing” as the world was preparing for another world war. It is not you or anyone you know that is what is happening now, and few, including his own, is doing something about it? He also reported that they never trust the press, because it is not you or anyone else looking for other (international), news sources that warn us of this fact? Speaking of hypocrisy. In any case, the bottom line, the only reason I gave this two stars is because it took me to get a glimpse of Mademoiselle enough to want to read a biography on her. So if you also want to know more about the wonderful woman who was Coco Chanel, skip this and instead choose to read a biography by someone who has appreciated Chanel and research enough to make reading about her and not the author . Rating: 2 / 5

This is the gospel according to Coco Chanel, the woman elegnat the world in his time. His fashion is timeless and so is his style. But beyond that, she had a way with words and was very intelligent. That is what this book drives home. I read from beginning to end and wanted more. I am truly inspired by this woman. Now if only I could afford a Chanel bag. One day! Rating: 5 / 5
