Chanel Designer’s Eccentric Gifts
Karl Lagerfeld has given a special gift to fashion editors in Manhattan recently.
The designer sent out eighteen customised Bearbricks to wish them a great summer.
According to WWD, the Japanese figures which resemble futuristic bears, were styled with Chanel’s famous trademarks.
Each one came with a tweed suit, oversize black sunglasses with the iconic double– C logo ,
pearl necklace and a camellia in the hair. The limited edition Bearbricks were exhibited at Lagerfeld’s haute couture show in July.
They come with their own sketch and a humorous handwritten note from the man himself.
Lagerfeld wrote to one editor:” Karl calls me Shrek 5….he is so mean.”
