This purse has the shape of the “square vintage”, but has lambskin leather. The unique parts of this purse is that the quilting is stiched in silver thread. The chain of the handle has a braided cord design, then the leather strap was passed through that. Retail price is $2,575.00

The Ligne Cambon proved so popular, Chanel has brought this line up of calfskin quilted purses with large CC’s through to their Fall 2005 with season appropriate colors such as Brown and Black. The update is that the CC is patent leather. Shown here is the Cambon tote, but the line also offers a bowling bag, pochette, reporter bag, wallets, gloves and shoes. Tote shown retails at $1275.00, and gloves (a perfect holiday gift) are $650.00.

Of-coarse Chanel; the very definition of classic would have a simply elegant pair of lambskin loafers. Monogramed CC tab is subtle, but will be noticed by those “in the know”. These come in black or brown at $540.00.

Since Prada had a very well selling nylon purse, Chanel descided to jump on that bandwagon too. White Ski Collection purse is made of nylon so you won’t damage a leather purse while on the slopes this Winter. While not as appealing to the eye, it is practicle to use while out on sporting activies. White will bring you Winter to Spring. Retail price is $995.00.

Following the Toronto Film Festival showing of “Thank you for Smoking” on Friday September 9th, Chanel on Bloor Street co-hosting with Time Magazine threw a fabulous after party celebrating the screening. “Thank you for Smoking” is a joyously malicious satire about a tobacco lobbyist starring Robert Duvall, Katie Holmes, Maria Bello, William H. Macy, and Adam Brody. The party was surrounded by Chanel bags, cocktails and tweed. (and not to mention stars!) What a nice combination.
